Should I walk on you?

Source
As I stand here
On this long path
Obscure, undiscovered and untamed
I see my whole life ahead
Waiting for me
To unleash
The possibilities
And make a life
Full of dreams turning into realities!
Should I walk on you?

There's a long way to go
And I should choose happiness
Above everything else.
Now it may seem hard
But that's the right thing to do
For they say
If it's good, it's never going to be easy!
Should I walk on you?

I tried
A lot,
But can't anymore!
Why does it feel so difficult?
Choosing your own happiness
Why does it sounds
so Selfish?

I know
I won't be happy
If it stays the way it is.
Sure we need to
Pay the price
For things we choose
for Ourselves!
Should I walk on you?

Graflections- September 2016

Time has come to look back to the month of September and cherish the good times and revise the learning’s from the not-so-good-times.

September was a busy month altogether. With the increase in the number of classes and the blogging challenge round the corner, the month was full of reading, writing, learning and relishing the joy of this buzz around.

Teacher’s Day: How can I forget to mention about this day when we’re talking about September? Of course, it was an evening worth remembering. No classes, celebrations, cake, snacks and yes, games as well! It sure feels great to spend time with my students apart from the classes I take.

Celebrating Birthdays: No it wasn’t my birthday. My birthday is this month, more details on it later. My parents’ birthday fall in September and though I wasn’t there with them to celebrate, but a bit of surprise from us made everything perfect. We had ordered cupcakes for them, that depicted their characteristics and they loved it!

Also, one of my cutest and sweetest friend’s birthday too falls in September and not to mention how much fun we girls had with her. Though time was short, but it was special... and fun too :D

Blogging challenges: I was a part of #MyfriendAlexa campaign by Blogchatter and it was such a learning experience altogether. I feel happy to be a part of such communities that helps you grow as a blogger and an individual at the same time. The month was all about writing new posts, reading and sharing others post and in this procedure, I came across some terrific bloggers on the blogosphere. People do so much to improve their blog, the content, the networks, improving on the statistics and I felt ecstatic to have known them and learn from them.

There was a huge drop in my Alexa rank, currently, with a Global rank of 4, 89,514 and Indian rank as 26,002 and I couldn’t be more happy about it!

Sure it got hectic, but it was totally worth it!

Before this month I took part in Blog-a-thon by BAR in August and July was occupied with Half Marathon, by Blogchatter!

As much as I love participating in these challenges, I’ve not signed up for the one going on in October. I want to write to keep that will alive and not write just for the heck of it. I want to stick to the quality posts and that is not possible if I have to forcefully on some days! And so I’m giving myself a break from the writing challenges as of now. Also, there are other things that have been lying in the corner from so long that are crying for my attention and now can’t be ignored further.

Published: No matter if you’ve been published before or not, the thrill of being published remains the same each time. One of my poems got published in Women’s Web, and it felt bliss. If you have missed reading it, you can click here and share the love :)

Dinners & Drives: Good times with friends and drives with them are what weekends all about and I’m not complaining! Random dinner plans, and my all time cravings which are duly taken care of by husband is something I am always thankful/grateful for! God bless the man! :P

I watched the movie #Pink as well and do I need to mention how much I loved the movie? I’m sure you too did! It sure was the movie not to be missed kinds!
A few things creep here and there, but that happens with all of us, don’t you think? And all we need to do is ignore it and move ahead. That’s the best way to keep your sanity alive!

More than 2 months and I still stare at the pile of books that are lying in front of me to be read! I’m still figuring out I don’t even know what!!

Anyway, this will keep on going, you tell me how did September treat you? And what are the things you are looking forward to in October? I am looking forward to all the celebrations and festivities this month!

Do they work?

Do you believe in making New Year Resolutions?

Yes, of course I do! It was for these New Year resolutions only I strive so hard to be where I thought I’d be at the end of the year. When I look back, I realize, had I not taken these resolutions seriously, God knows, where I’d be wasting time?! These goals, they set your path and give you directions.. all you need to do is follow them. They keep you focused and make you devoid of all the distractions.. Well that indeed is a great power that comes with New Year resolutions. A few incomplete goals are carried forward for next year and the completed ones leave you with immense gratification.

I am waiting for the New Year to come, bringing new hopes and new goals to fulfil.
There was a time when I was very irregular with my goals.. they used to be there on the list, but were in an On and Off position! But not anymore! One thing that I have made sure post marriage is to be very incessant with my goals and New Year resolutions helped me keep them on track.

Do these New Year resolutions work for you? Why yes, why no, you got to write in the comments below ;)

Locking Lips

Dark it was around, when you illuminated me with your sensuous touch,
You held my hand, and felt it all, trembling me through.
Your soft fingers and their seductive touch,
Fervently raised and charged me up.
My heart was skipping a beat,
And my breath was gasping hard,
You held it tight and kept me intact.
You came near me, and gave a peck on my cheeks,
Drowning me with you
And turning my color to pink from blue!

How I resisted you to come near me,
and how you didn't stop at all.
Not a single moment,
not a single place you left untouched,
melting me down, giving me a sweet soft kiss.
I love the way you suck my neck so hard,
Panting slowly, leaving your love marks!
And then grasping my hair, you draw yourself so close
Laying your lips on mine, stirring up my soul!
Grabbing my back, you pull me harder
Tremors I feel in my body, taking me to levels so farther!
Your tongue playing with mine,
Dancing and licking and slipping all around
Locking lips
Licking it round
How it bites my lower lip
Arousing me inside,
Hearing things within us
My inner goddess finally confides!

How steamy things have got
I never ever thought
You would do this to me
I feel so glad, for your love I fought!

Life On-Line

Life Online.. an interesting and intriguing prompt I must say. I am an extrovert. I make conversations easily with other others without having the fear of being judged. Making new friends is always a cherry on the cake for me, for my over the top yapping nature. But when it comes to online, I take time.. to open up.. May be I’m introvert online! Am I sounding stupid here, eh?
I really need to feel that bond or some connection to make a conversation with anyone, and be friends later may be. Sometimes, what I really wonder is how is it really possible? I mean I know the other person through their pictures and posts and write-ups. And you know what a sham world this social media is. Say a sentence, write anything, upload a picture and people have their quirky eyes on you. They are ready to label you and meticulously judge you for everything single thing.

On the contrary, I find it difficult to randomly start a chat with someone I barely know.. It may be weird I guess, and may be people assume me of not being friendly enough with them, but that is how it is with me. I don’t know how to cajole someone I barely know. Yeah, if I like something of someone, I appreciate them and I think we should value things that are worthy of it. But beyond that,
I really don’t know how to go about it.. Seriously! If you know, please teach me the art.. I am all ready to learn and listen..

How is it with you? Are you an introvert or extrovert? And how does it is when online?

I really want to know.

Tear.. why you Come?

Tears.. I think they’re any woman’s best friend! Don’t you think? Okay.. not best friends.. but close friends probably.. and of men too, I guess.

Some years back I was a perfect combo of sensitivity and emotional being! I still am.. but then, those years back, it was a deadly combo.. and it really taught me lot. I fell so many times, learned so many things by falling! I used to be an emotional fool.. yes.. I can’t stand anyone in pain.. and was affected by their sufferings way too much, which automatically made me the scapegoat of everything around! I cried and cried and cried! Just a simple thing to nudge and I was in their trap! They pricked me, and touched all the sensitive areas and I was ready to welcome the pain with open arms!

But things changed eventually, when I had good friends and teachers.. May be the impact my teachers is so much that I want to give the same thing to my students. My teachers helped me look through the things, observe beyond what is shown and judge accordingly!

I’m not saying that I have reached perfection in this, but I am much better than how I used to be. Too transparent, too honest, and too gullible and trusted everybody in an iffy! And that is where it started affecting me. Now, I’m good!

But that doesn’t mean, I don’t cry. Of course I cry.. who doesn’t? I cry sometimes watching an emotional movie (last time it happened when I saw Margarita with a Straw, where Kalki’s mother, Revti, dies) and I just couldn’t stop my tears rolling down my cheeks.. oops, sorry for the spoilers who’ve not seen the movie yet.. But yeah.. go ahead and watch it.. It’s a brilliant composition! Period.

Okay and you cry, and you don't find anybody around to hear your whining and crying, you end up crying even more!! Isn't this true? ;) :P

Tears come in my eyes, when something really pricks my heart, when someone says something that I had never thought in my dreams, and when those abrasive words go in my ears, I can’t stand them. How could you even think of saying such stuff? is what comes to my head! Or if I feel I’m being cheated on.. or maybe when I learn truths about people.. when they please on my face, and cook stories behind my back.. I just loathe this thing to the core. Nobody wants sycophants, at least I don’t.. Everybody loves compliments- but genuine ones.. And if you don’t feel it genuinely then don’t give. Simple. Nobody is begging for them. But talking behind one’s back and continuing the hypocrisy.. it pisses me off.. No if’s, no buts then.. If I learn about it, that person stands nowhere in my eyes.. And I don’t even want to keep any link with them!
What else does brings tears to my eyes? I sometimes go to bed crying.. sometimes I think beyond what is required and become sad..

Every tear has a story, and they say one should not go to bed sad or crying.. But if you ask me, it's quite good.. not that you should go to bed crying, but when thoughts encircle your head a bit too much, mantra is to Stop Thinking and Start Sleeping! And it works! Sometimes getting a sleep at night, wakes you up fresh in the morning, forgetting about all the dilemmas you had last night! And there you are, all happy and chirpy!
Sometimes, I think, what if I die one day, all of a sudden, what will happen when I won’t be around, and then I think of the people who love me so much and how much they’re going to miss me and cry on my deathbed and welcome the tears whole heartedly! So technically, I think of my death and start crying myself for myself..!! Well I can't cry then, so I cry now! Heights of stupidity I guess.. I mean who does that?
But I really really dread the day of losing someone close to me.. so no more discussion on it.

Well sometimes it’s good to let your heart out.. it can be via talking or crying.. anything that suits a person, but the frustration inside has to come out, no matter what! Plus, it cleans the eye?! Okay, I know, I’m talking non-sense now.

How about you? Do you cry often? What makes you cry? Or am I the only weirdo who cries that often? Tell me your stories and I’m ready to listen

Beauty and the Beast

I think the prompt for this week’s Friday Reflections is quite interesting! Don’t you think?

So many times we’ve turned pages, read articles, written about them as well on how the color or the skin tone is totally immaterial, how it is the internal beauty that matters and not vice-versa.

When was it when I learnt it? Ah! I remember when I was a child, in one of the school books or I guess maybe I eavesdropped somewhere, or my grandma gave me this learning that beauty will fade away one day. Once you get old, it will not be the looks that will stay with you but a beautiful heart that will be there! That got indelible in my mind, forever. I had friends who were pretty.. or let me confess, way prettier than me.. I was nothing. I was dark, I had short hair, my mom used to apply hair oil on a regular basis and send me to school. I’m sure you got the picture of how I looked! I wasn’t a very bright child either. So the esteem issues were always there.

Actually, it didn’t mattered much to me.. but it did matter to the others. My heart always reminded me of how I should welcome good thoughts and be a good person, help others, take care of them, never make fun of them, etc etc. Yeah, sometimes I did curse my looks, but like I said, sometimes.

I saw people being charmed so much with the looks of other people. And I always had it inside, that they’re not permanent, so chill. And who knows, behind that beautiful face, may be a not so very good person is hidden. As they say, looks are deceiving. Well.. Yes, they are!

Sometimes we do judge a person on how they look, but the moment they open their mouths, I think that’s where they realize the mistake they make in the first place.

Looks do a lot of good, but they just don’t matter to me! No matter how beautiful or handsome a person looks, as long as they’re rude, and arrogant and obnoxious and stubborn and obstinate, they don’t value to me at all. Greedy as well! I don’t like selfish people. I don’t like people who judge others the moment they see them. And hypocrites are the biggest turn-offs. Looks like, I don’t like quite a category of people around me.

I am always tempted by the goodness in the heart, the innocence in the eyes, the altruism, fair genuine appreciation is always welcome and so is healthy criticism but no mind games!
I remember I really wanted a pet when I was a child but didn’t have one then. Thanks to A, he got one last year. But by that time, my adulation towards pets was over! I only liked them as long as they were neighbours’ or relatives’ or anybody else for that matter. But A simply loves them. Like crazy. Period. “A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself”- is what his Whatsapp says! :P
From morning till evening, the only thing I think he think about is our dog. But as you all know, as I have a big and a beautiful heart at the same time (*winks* *blush* ^_^) , I’ve started to love our dog. Cooper, well call him. And he’s such a cute thing when he came. Petite then and now a grown up.

I love to spend time with him. I love to play with him. And mind you, he’s very naughty and extremely sharp. And he’s not lazy, quite the opposite of his breed. He’s a Labrador. The whole family treats him like our own. And now, he’s the center of universe in our house. No matter how anybody else is feeling, but master Cooper should always be comfortable. It was his birthday last month, and I was ordering a few stuff for him online. Usually we order/bring one or two things at a time. But this time, it was different. We ordered so much stuff for him. When my MIL asked, why so many things for him, I timidly cued her about Cooper’s birthday!

He’s now our bundle of joy! Those innocent eyes, that fierceness if somebody else plays with his toys, the incessant wagging of his tail when A is home, the happiness he feels when he have eggs.. It’s all out of the world!

I think I’ve written way to much as for one post.

Time to hear from you. Do you love pets? Do you have one? What’s their name? what’s more important to you, looks or heart? I’d love know from you.

P.S: I totally enjoyed writing this one. Thanks Janine for such a beautiful prompt!
