She never questioned him about his whereabouts, or nagged for time, irrespective of him spending all the time with his family, but her, or pecked about why he never complimented her or made real conversation with her. He never called her parents, or paid them a visit; he never picked her from airports or lifted her mood.
They did share a friendly bond, but the term ‘marriage’ and its elements were absent.
She knew it; that someday he’ll value her... appreciate her longanimity.
Surprisingly, not a hunch of jealousy but sheer acceptance of everything.
A beautiful smile and she was ready.

LIke her, most women accept everything in a marriage with a smile and stride...
ReplyDeleteWow! That's some secure woman!
ReplyDeleteWhat a woman...hmm I am seriously insecure I think! Men are blessed if they can have women like that in their lives!

I definitely wouldn't want a guy like this in my life :)
ReplyDeleteI think too many women in the real world would fit in the protagonist's shoes, however I wouldn't want anyone to be so selfless in any relationship like her.
ReplyDeleteThat story gave me plenty of food for thought :)

This is not a guy that you would want in your life! What a pity!
ReplyDeleteIt's his loss. Hope he realizes what he is missing/ignoring real soon!
ReplyDeleteSome people realize things when it is too late! That is really sad!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot to sacrifice for security ... I don't think it's love even. Touching write.

oh..why does she have to compromise like this? Is the security worth her sacrifice? But plenty of women are in her shoes and that's the sad part.
