Drenched #FridayFotoFiction

It had been 12 long months since I had seen him.

And the rains weren’t making it any easier.

I held my cup of coffee, picked up the novel, played my favourite music or to say his favourite music, and sat by the window, lost in his thoughts.

My heart was pounding at a rate higher than usual, leaving me perplexed. And I wasn’t understanding the cause of this uneasiness since morning.

A nice walk would ease the feeling, I thought to myself.

Soon, I picked the keys, grabbed the umbrella and opened the door and witnessed the sight that nearly took my breath away! It was him… Standing right in front of me!

Drenched.

Both of us were. He with rains and I in his love.

Of Half Love, Half Friendship

It was during the second year of my four year course when things started to change. Being a localite, I had the advantage of knowing the city better along with my personal vehicle to move around places. As I was a geek in college, all I cared for was marks... Yes, they mattered a lot to me. And I did everything I could to score well in my exams.

Due to this, I got a little popular amongst the 400 students in the whole batch. It was when my technical skills got into the limelight, a lot of students started approaching me. In that lot, there was a guy named, Sachin who came here from another city and didn’t know anyone. He had a different background and thus wasn’t really strong in his subjects. He was the first guy who genuinely approached me for studies and according to him, I was the first girl who said yes to teaching him things and help him through.

We clicked in one instant became best friends in college. As he didn’t know anything in the city, I took him to a lot of places. Places that became our favorite spots for a hangout. Time flew and we got closer. But it was only a good friendship that we shared.

Source
One fine evening, we were invited to a friend’s birthday party which was organized in a club. We went there, had a few drinks, ate good food and danced! With each other... a lot! Our bodies were grooving just right on the music beats and we were completely in rhythm with each other. Everyone felt there was something going on between us then (but actually nothing was going on)!

We only shared a good chemistry.

Both of us headed to a friend’s place for the sleepover, where everyone reached and slept (given the number of drinks everyone had). We too were drunk but were totally in our senses. We just lay on the bed where we found some space. There were other two friends who were lying on the same bed but we didn’t care and decided to doze off.

In reality, none of us sleep that night. Sure, we wanted to, but couldn’t. Call it the effect of the alcohol or whatever, but I was tipsy and he was calmer than usual. Just when I pushed myself into the sleeping mode, I felt something, underneath my dress! I instantly stopped it and later realized it was Sachin’s hand! I had goosebumps all over my body and he just wanted to take his hands inside more. I knew I had to put a stop to it and I tried... a lot! But couldn’t control him... or let’s just say, resist him!

His hand gave me that electric current that I had never felt in my life, ever! He knew I was liking it and so moved his hands more, first on my neck, then on my hands, moving to my stomach and then above it. He was trying to undo my bra but couldn’t! Obviously, he was a naive boy. The first thought that crossed my mind was, we’re just friends! We’re not even committed! How can we do this? But my body had no intentions listening to my mind. I just wanted to be in his arms. He touched me... and kissed my lips and it was magical. I knew it wasn't love and yet I didn’t want him to stop!

Source

We kissed and kissed some more! Our tongues were dancing with each other when we sealed our lips together. He wanted to do more... I wanted to do more but we had other people around us! The night passed touching each other at places unexplored!

The following day, it felt different to both of us. We knew it was the effect of last night. But with morning, came the reality. We weren’t committed and what we had last night wasn’t what friends do.

We discussed this and decided to keep ourselves in limits and maintain the friendship we had. But the fact was our friendship had been effectively ruined that night.

We couldn’t resist for even a week and decided to continue our incomplete affair. And we booked a hotel for the same. Getting in the hotel wasn’t a problem. I had friends in the city and it wasn’t a task.
From that day on, our rendezvous became a regular affair. We went to the hotel every fortnight and gave our bodies that much-needed pleasure. Sure, I started having more affection for him and he became a bit possessive for me. We knew we liked each other a lot, but none of us wanted to put a label to what we were having. Maybe we were scared of losing it once we put it in a label. I didn’t want to risk that. Nor did he.

We knew we were more than friends but less than lovers. Maybe we were Friends With Benefits! At some points, when I flirted with other boys or simply hang out with them, he would get jealous. He never said a word, yet his eyes said it all. And I kind of liked this arrangement. There were no strings attached. And yet some invisible strings were tying us together.

With college, our affair ended as well. But during this while, neither did he nor did I found anyone else. After changing cities, we almost lost touch with each other.

And today, when I look back I feel just fine. Because there weren’t any strings attached, right?

#Valentine'sSpecial

So I was sulking and ignoring him.

There are days when something happens that I don’t like and I go, mum. Period.

And today, when I got home from class, he was getting ready for work. And I obviously, ignored him again and moved on.

And there, he held my hand!

‘What happened?’

‘Nothing’

‘Then why all quiet?’

‘I’m fine. You say wassup?’

‘Come here, you’, bringing me close, ‘Happy Valentine’s Day’, and in a flurry of seconds, my heart melted away, and sulkiness vanished!

I smiled and giggled and looked a bit surprised and hugged him, wishing him the same!

Corridor

Source

‘I ran into that corridor! Did I make a mistake?’

‘What did you see?’

‘It was gorgeous Daddy! Magnificent! There were lights and doors. And the floor was shining like a... mirror... so clean! I loved it...! Can we live in that corridor, daddy? It had so many doors; can’t we use just one?’

‘It’s not ours, sweetheart. We work here, do all the chores... we can’t live here!’

‘If we do everything here, then why not live? You clean it so good, daddy!’

Poor man’s lone eyes escaped a tear as he narrated the harsh inequalities of the world!

Love : A Faux

1.00 pm...

‘I love you and I miss you very much’

9.00 pm...

‘I miss you too sweetheart and I love you to the moon and back... always have, always will’

She texted him. Every day.

And waited for his reply. Every day.

She saw him coming online every now and then. Simply to learn that he was ignoring her.

He must be busy... But then why do I see his flirtatious messages on my friend’s phone all the time when my reply is still pending?!

Somewhere in between sending and waiting for his messages, her love took a silent death!

C- Composed

Her husband left the room at 8 in the morning. Go for his work at 11 and at 7 in the evening, sat with his parents for 4 straight hours and by the time he came in his room, she slept. Waiting. And in the midst of all this, the inside conversations of the room varied from bitter talks to fights, to criticism and mistakes that she might have made. Making love was an alien thing altogether.

This continued for like ever!

And yet, every damn morning, she woke up with a smile, for his family, for her work, for herself!

B- Betrayal

“I love you, always have always will”

“But I’m married! It’s a sin that I don’t want to commit”

“We’ve shared each other from last 10 years, Mary! Your marriage cannot stop me from loving you”

“You make me feel alive but it’s not right”

“See! And sharing a few moments of your life with me is harmless!”

  “My soul doesn’t approves”

“It doesn’t have to. You just have to love me back”

In the myriad of emotions, she gave in. She was crushed when she learnt that he flirted and slept with every other girl he met, including her sister!

Come on! Let's Go!

“Let’s go upstairs, sister”

“But why? Isn’t it fun, right here? Aren’t you enjoying with me?”

“O, I am enjoying! Of course! But look above.. it looks thrilling! It always is! I want to go up, really up in life too! It seems to store so much of excitement. Climbing up the stairs, falling down from them and then climbing them again! Touching the sky, going to the place where no one has ever been. So much we can learn together, if only you say a yes!”

“Okay! Looks like you’re in no mood to change your mind! Come ‘on!”

Guiding Way

That night in the desert, when I stood all by myself, with only moonlight to guide my way. The path that will lead me to my goal. I see mountains all over, barricading my way. Giant and majestic. Tenacious and huge. Roaring high and kissing the air. Challenging me to touch the sky. The barren land, far and strong. The turquoise colour and the twinkling stars, shine their way, propelling me to radiate in their flair. O mountains, please lead and show me the right direction, for I am just a dreamer, probing for my inner self and aspirations so obscure!

Inside Heart

One last time, just open my eyes
And let me see how things rise
The smoke that I fag
With one more drag,
For I can feel the magic it does to my senses
And to fight for it, I have all my ready defenses.
Closed sight, black and white
One last time, I can sense the spark so bright.

My naked lips, all red and lecherous
Inviting for all acts so treacherous
Seeking for a man who ruins my lipstick
Smudging & spoiling it with his charm so mystic!
Just one last time, roll your fingers on my raw lips
Seduce me and bring sensations that thrills!

My naked ears, my bare skin
Deep down it’s craving for your attention
My life has always been in the dark
Give me some light and show me some spark!
People say, I’ve gone all astray
Girls like me are for men to play
Smoking, drinking, late night outing
Dancing, drooling, getting clicked by pouting
Yes, I love it all for your information
Judge me, label me, or go ahead with your accusation!

For I will always be what I want
It’s my attitude that I love to flaunt!
What else can you say than calling me a slut?!
Please learn to raise your standards or better keep shut!
One last time, I’m fighting for myself
Help me discover and find the lost self!
You may lay your eyes upon me
Bend your legs and sit on your knee
Or trick me to get into your trap
But one last time, I tear away your phony strap!

Beyond the Facade

It was Christmas Eve last year when Chaaru was all set to attend the party organized at her friend’s place.

“Where my shirt Chaaru? We’re getting late!!”

“It’s right there in your closet. And I’m ready dude.. you’re the one who’s stuck”

And there they were, Chaaru and Amit, the lovely couple, the perfect couple, all set to appear and spread their enigma.

The party was hosted at Piyush’s place who happened to be friends with Amit and now is equally close with Chaaru. The rest of the gang was all there, all delighted to rock the party and spend an evening worth remembering. Chaaru and Amit, they had a love marriage. Both of them are party freak.. they loved to groove their bodies on music.. they loved booze and hash and smoke and weed and everything that comes with it. The only perfect mantra that they followed was the much clichéd, Live and let live!

They were all nuts when it came to each other. They were passionate lovers. Raw and wild. At least that’s what everybody felt about them. But.. you know, there’s always a But! The reality is always something else.

“Guys, enjoying your drinks? Shall I get you some more scotch Chaaru?”, offered Piyush.

“No ya.. I’m good. Where’s Anusha? And Aarti? And Mayank and the rest of them?”

“They are there on the dance floor. Why don’t you join?”

“Of course, I will. Let me grab a drink or two and then you see how the evening turns out to be!”

“I can’t wait to see”.  *Winks winks*

“Come on Amit, let’s go.. I’m all up for it”

“You go.. I’ll join you in a while. I have to catch with a few more people”, said Amit.

“You sure?”

“Of course, sweetheart.. I’m good”

“Cool”

And there she was. Dancing like ice and fire.. Catching the attention of all the invitees with all her curvy moves. She kind of becomes uncontrollable in the heat of the moment. And this is when she’s not high. That’s the first degree of her insanity.

“Hey, Chaaru! You okay?”, asked Piyush (the host of the party)

“Yes, I’m doing absolutely fine.”

“Good, can you come with me for a while. I need to discuss something really important”

“O ya.. sure. Tell me”

And they moved aside, in an isolated corner of the party. Escaping from the eyes of the guests.

“I’m really worried about Priya. I don’t know how to deal with her. She’s always busy. No time for me at all. We’ll be married in a month’s time. And yet I feel I’m a stranger to her”

“What is it? Isn’t she happy? Has she said anything to you? What makes you think like this?”

“I don’t know. She’s quiet most of the times. Doesn’t talk much. Not interested in meeting anybody. Very reserved. If things turn out like this, I don’t how will I live with all this? I mean, who is like this these days?”

“You’re just being paranoid. She seems fine to me. Things will just be fine post marriage”

“No.. You don’t get it. I mean, look at you. You’re just perfect! You hangout with everybody. You stay in the moment and make the most of it. You’re so charming. And the way you dance..!! You know how to steal the show..!”

And there he grabbed her hand and her waist. And locked his lips with hers. Caressing her face and her neck, rolling his hands in her hair. She too was lost in it. Loving what was being done to her. In that passionate minute, they made the best possible move. And there she was, all conscience and back to reality. And so was he. But none of them seemed embarrassed. None of them felt it was strange that it happened.
“Well.. don’t think too much Piyush. You have me.. always by your side. And I always love the way you do me”, she winked and gave a villainous smile to him, making it perfect for him to realize that she loved every bit of it.
Mayank, their mutual friend, saw everything and was shocked to death by witnessing that sight. He narrated all of it to his best friend. He had hint about this, but what shocked him more was the audacity with which they made out, in the open, when all the guests were present in the house, with her husband as well.

Only God knew, what was going on with the two of them? And it only takes a bold move to depict such acts in the public.
*********
I think that is how life is. We seem to be quite normal with the stuff that we do and see around us frequently. But when something happens that is beyond the norms of the society or may be beyond our beliefs and perspectives, all we feel is dumbstruck. Don’t we?

Unlocking the Hearts

There is something hidden behind the doors. And she always yearned to know what’s inside. Curiously, she asked her mom.

“Mother, why is this door always locked? What’s inside? Why don’t you ever let me in and discover stuff? I know you and father secretly keep things, when I’m not around”

“So many questions in one go my child! My girl has really grownup”

“Mother! Don’t change the subject. You have to tell me, today”

And there she stood, unlocking the door, flabbergasted at the sight in front of her! It was a room full of memories, pictures, toys, games.. but none of it belonged to her. Then whose stuff was it? She had lost an elder sibling- a sister, when she was born. She never knew her, just heard name. That’s it.

It was all the stuff that her parents kept maintaining all these years, secretly keeping a gift on every birthday. Of course, this won’t bring their daughter back, but it gave them a little peace of mind.
She was in tears. She decided to unlock.. the door, the memories, their hearts, everything! And it will be like the other rooms in the house, with all the same stuff that belonged to her sister.

Impuissance

“Look at her audacity! She has no shame left at all”

“But what is the matter, my friend? Why are you so angry with your daughter-in law? She’s a sweet girl”

“Sweet..!! My foot!! She’s eating snacks right here, in front of her father-in-law, sitting at the same level! She should have sat inside or somewhere else!”

“But you are our guests. Where will she sit if not here, with all of us?!”

“She has spoiled the environment of my house from the moment she has entered the house”

And I sighed.. all in impuissance!

Waves

It was a long winter night when she sat across the narrow sea, thinking about all the people she had lost in last one year.

What was it that took away everything from her?

Was it fate or destiny that brought so much disgrace to her?

And there she sat, sitting, watching the furious waves, taking away all the belongings from the people walking around.

That is where she realized the nature of waves, it takes a lot more than what it brings to the people sitting on the shore, just like the way it did to her family, drowning and sinking them deep down and making her the orphan!

It's good to be back!

Back to my blog.. back to writing.. this couldn’t be any better. Last two weeks were crazy. First the guests, then a wedding in the family. Now, those of you who have been reading my blog lately, must be aware of it and the dance that came along with it, and those who don’t know, can read it here. The wedding was super amazing. And so was the city. Yes, it was in Calcutta. My first visit there. And I loved every bit of it. Though it was different than the other metro cities in the country, I liked it. Crowded the place it was and so was its traffic but the street food there, compensated for everything. It was mouth watering and delicious and spicy and yummy!! Mmmmm..
The evening of the functions, they were fantastic. There were so many people, hitting the stage and leaving their best impression. It was a bit nervous in the beginning for the dance that I had to do, but once the music was ON, all I could think of was to be in that moment and make the most of it. Obviously, I enjoyed to the full. Danced, just the way I always do, without any worries about what would every one think or say? I had to perform and I did.. with full energy and enthusiasm. Everybody loved our performance (me and my SIL) and I was so proud of myself. Dancing with her is kinda raising the already high benchmark more high, when you know you don’t even meet the regular standard levels! And later dancing on the floor, I was simply out of control! The beats, the music, the rhythm, the fun, the people, it was one terrific evening!

The cold coffee that was served was too yummy and I had such a good coffee after a real long time. And so, another SIL of mine (more of a friend though) and me, thought of a coffee competition! Yes. That’s true. We asked the people there, and guess what, they said it’s all finished and the guy who was making the coffee, he too had gone. Both of us were disheartened. None of us have had dinner coz we knew we’d be drinking down coffee. We requested them if anyhow it was possible for them to arrange. But they were sorry.

They were not aware of our competition for sure!

Within a few moments, I saw a waiter approaching me with a glass of cold coffee and my happiness was multiplied ten times.

“Thank you so much.”

“It’s our pleasure madam! We have more, do you want more?”

“Of course I want more. Bring as many glasses of coffee as possible”

“Sure ma’am”

O that moment was so exciting and thrilling! Our competition was a tie but we enjoyed it to the full! That evening was crazy and perfect and perfectly crazy :P.

I missed reading all the wonderful posts by my fellow bloggers, but will do it now. I felt really glad that my friends were visiting my blog and commenting, whereas I was unable to reciprocate. I think that is one thing that keeps one moving in blogosphere.  Had a good break.. and ate so much there. I wasn’t eating actually, I was hogging! My stomach was nothing less than a dust-bin, where I was throwing in all the trash that I had around me and it was all worth it!

What did you do all these days? Care to share?

P.S:  The file size of the video was too large, couldn't upload here.. Sorry!

R- Rogue

It was my last semester in college. Finally, completing the fashion designing course was like a dream come true. I remember the day four years back when I informed my mother about the choice of career I wanted to make. Everybody in the family supported me, but my mother. She was in fury. She had great expectations from me, and she was the one who is always been there with me in times of crisis. But not this time.
Entering into an industry like fashion was nothing more than a stigma for the family. But after me joining college, she kind of changed. Maybe because of the laurels that I brought to the college and family, or maybe it was my grades that did magic on her. And for this, I can’t thank my teachers enough for their support, for the belief they had in me.

Though during those years in college, I had one special teacher. Niharika ma’am. I was in awe of her beauty. She was young and energetic. Her charisma made the entire college frantic about her. She was the one every girl in my batch wanted to be like one. And boys like me.. all we wanted was to be noticed by her, at least once!
Her charm manifolds with every new student in college. And above all, she was a wonderful human being. She was agile, in teaching, making her decisions, just everything.

I was lucky to have her class in the first semester. Gradually, when I started studying her subject, I found it really interesting. And of course, I had doubts in them. Which obviously I asked after the class (extra attention :P), but due to lack of time, she advised me to mail those queries or come to her office sometime. I was more than happy.
She had her own fashion website which was really popular. I started showing interest in it. She too liked me I guess. Soon, we were acquainted with each other. Next few semesters I didn't have her class, but that didn't stop us from being in touch with each other. Emails, chats, text messages was our daily ritual.

And, the sad truth was she was married. For five years. And I knew it from the very beginning, yet I couldn't control what I was having inside. I think she too was falling for me. But never really say anything, yet her gestures did all the talking.

It was one fine day when things really got heated up between us via messages. I don’t know where it was going, I didn't realize what I was texting. All I wanted was to be with her then. And that’s what she too wanted. We did talk about her marriage once, but she didn't say much. She wasn't comfortable talking about it with me obviously and even I hated to talk about her husband. As things were getting steamy between me and her, I decided not to waste much of the time and I reached her home.

She was there, waiting for me. She wasn't my teacher anymore and I was not her student any longer.

We both just wanted to be One. I was the one holding her tight, and she.. she was the one who was melting in me... her heartbeat was rising and so was mine. I don’t know if I was right or wrong... all I knew was I never wanted to stop what we were having between us. She was loosening inside me, her hands meeting mine, her hair on my shoulder, my hand on her forehead, caressing her face. I planted a kiss on her cheeks. Her eyes locking in mine, telling me to continue... continue loving her. And I obeyed them. I loved her like there’s no tomorrow. She completed me. I completed her. We never wanted that moment to come to an end.
When I was home, back from her place, I kind of felt uncomfortable. I got a text message from her.. it was the best thing that happened in my life. Thank you so much.

I was smiling.

“But she’s married dude.. come on..! wake up”

“So what? How does it matter? I never asked her to leave her husband.”

“But that’s not how it works!”

“I find solace with her, and so does she with me... why is that a problem?”

“Coz she’s your teacher, you fool!”

“Not anymore. And even if she is, she has made me learn the best lessons of life”

“For which, you should be grateful to her and nothing more than that!”

“I am grateful to her. But I can’t leave her and she too doesn't want to leave me”

“Fine.. your wish”

“Fine!!”

The usual battle between my mind and heart. But she was more than happy with me and I with her.

That’s what our society don’t get. I know our relationship was rogue in the eyes of the world, but that is how we were meant to be. What can I do if she was married, or what if she herself wanted to be with me?

As they truly say, all is fair in love and war! Experiencing love is the best feeling in the world and I cannot agree more. I decided to follow my heart and be in touch with her. Forever.
