On this long path
Obscure, undiscovered and untamed
I see my whole life ahead
Waiting for me
To unleash
The possibilities
And make a life
Full of dreams turning into realities!
Should I walk on you?
Should I walk on you?
There's a long way to go
And I should choose happiness
Above everything else.
Now it may seem hard
But that's the right thing to do
For they say
If it's good, it's never going to be easy!
Should I walk on you?
Should I walk on you?
I tried
A lot,
But can't anymore!
Why does it feel so difficult?
Choosing your own happiness
Why does it sounds
so Selfish?
I know
I won't be happy
If it stays the way it is.
Sure we need to
Pay the price
For things we choose
for Ourselves!
Should I walk on you?

Your voice echoes what so many in the world feel. It's tricky, complex and so many things at stake. You injected the right expression on what rages inside the head and the emotion turmoil one finds itself in.
ReplyDeleteVery nicely said - I can feel the mental conflict. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI find myself in much the same 'confusion' presently in real life. The fear that it would be selfish to chase what one wants, the fear... But sometimes, we do need to walk the road I feel.
ReplyDeleteThat's quite thought provoking and scary.....well did you walk?
ReplyDeleteThe unknown paths are quite scary especially when we don't know what it brings. Is it better to stay with the devil we know even though it brings us sadness and misery? Or is it better to tread the unknown and see what happens? I don't know the answer...I've done both at different times and can't say either way what's right. But all I know is this --- if you do take the chance to walk, it will be scary but you will surely grow. Good luck and thanks for joining in!
ReplyDeleteThis really resonates with me. Excellent take on the prompt. You've got me thinking!
ReplyDeleteI believe in regretting than not trying. Life is all about experiences - good and bad. A thought provoking read. I can relate to it.
